Aishwarya Sakhuja on embracing constructive criticism: “I remind myself that I have made an informed choice”

Actress Aishwarya Sakhuja acknowledges constructive criticism as a tool to improve her craft and does not let it affect her self-esteem. She emphasizes that positive feedback and constructive criticism should be used as tools for growth and improvement, as everyone has their own opinions and perspectives. Aishwarya Sakhuja’s perspective reflects her personal approach to handling criticism. 

She also mentions that when she began her journey as an actor, someone advised her to develop a thick skin to navigate the industry. However, she states that she did not allow such comments to affect her and chose not to pay attention to them. She says, “Someone told me that you have to be very thick-skinned to be an industry fit. Opinions will keep coming your way, but it’s up to you whether you want to let them define you or not. I believe in staying true to myself and my craft, and that’s what has brought me this far.”  She credits her success to her hard work, perseverance, and passion for acting. 

Aishwarya further elaborates on how she maintains her calm while dealing with criticism and says, “During breaks between projects when I am waiting for a good opportunity, I always introspect myself, motivate myself, and I am my biggest cheerleader”. She concludes by adding, “I remind myself that I have made an informed choice to be part of this industry and, therefore, cannot blame anyone else for the challenges it brings.”
